Paddles
For
better paddling performance in all positions we recommend using paddles
that are longer than regular kayak paddles.
We offer the high performance, composite Wavewalk PSP
Standard PSP / 108" long (9 ft - 274
cm):
$172.
Extra Long PSP / 116" long (9'8" - 295
cm):
$196.
For more information go to this website's Paddles section

You can order a wavewalk paddle without it being part of your W kayak
order.
In such case we ship the paddle a kit including a pre-drilled shaft,
two aluminum rivets, two pre-drilled paddle blades, and two drip rings.
The kit requires some simple assembly.
Cost of shipping the kit by US Postal Service: $52

Side Floatation Modules for Easier
Recovery
5' (150 cm) long
plastic foam
noodles with an integrated bungee cord inside, and a hook on each end.
These floatation modules
are secured to the W kayak's cockpit sides by tiedowns (eyelets).
Note: By definition floatation is not a stabilizing device, and its
purpose is to help in recovering the kayak.

Bungee for W Kayak Cockpit Cover
All our kayak models feature a versatile, easy to use preparation for a
Cockpit
Cover.
The S, and Gr kayak models come with no deck rigging at all, except 4
carry handles.
If you have good outfitting skills and you're a fan of DIY projects,
you can outfit your kayak with a DIY preparation for cockpit cover.
The bungee features a hook on each end, and it comes in 2 sizes:
|
|
Tiedowns (Eyelets)
All W kayak models except the W300 R
and W500 Gr models
come outfitted with
Nylon tiedowns (Eyelets). For special projects you can purchase
additional eyelets:
- $5 for a bag of 10 units
- $6 for a bag of 12 units
|
|
Lashing Hooks
All W500 models except the S and Gr
feature 12
Nylon lashing hooks attached around the cockpit.
These
lashing hooks are part of the W Kayak preparation for a
Cockpit
Cover.
You can buy lashing hooks separately:
- $6 for a bag of 12 lashing
hooks

Kayak Rubber Molded Carry Handles
All W Kayak models feature 4
ergonomic
carry
handles. Each carry handle features a molded rubber grip, a fiber
strap, and plastic reinforced ends with two holes in each.
You can purchase additional carry handles for special projects:
|
|
Wavewalk Cap
As seen in the picture. Made from thick, quality
cotton, with an embroidered W logo.
|
|
Trolling Motors
You don't necessarily need outriggers for
an electric trolling motor.
You can also outfit the W kayak with a gas outboard motor of up to 4
HP. Because of the high speed we highly recommend stabilizing the
kayak with a large size outrigger.

Outriggers
Our kayaks do not
require outriggers for either paddling or fishing.
For other applications such as motorized boating (I.E. outboard gas
engine)
and sailing with a powerful rig (E.G. canoe or dinghy rigs) we
recommend
to outfit the W kayak with one or two commercial canoe
outriggers.
