Close-up of Jo's W kayak:
Jo is a tall guy who prefers to paddle standing so he uses a custom, 10.5 ft long Wavewalk paddle.
Also, note the Rubbermaid cooler that fits at the bottom of the left hull, and another cleat above the tie down eyelet on the spray deflector.

W Kayak Fisherman Profile and Boat Review:
Jo Mares
Key West, Florida

Jo's passion is boats. His company is called Multihull Technologies, and it is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of power, sailing, racing and cruising boats and yachts, including the world class Constellation Yachts.

Jo's other passion is kayak fishing, and when we shipped the W kayak he ordered from us to Key West we were naturally very interested in what he would have to say about it...

Then Jo called to say that he got his W and "took it into the surf, paddled standing and everything was great"... -Knowing that Jo is quite a big guy we thought he was either lucky or had good sea legs - or both...
Later, Jo told us he was "...impressed with the boat's performance in the surf, especially its stability in lateral waves", and offered to answer questions on the phone from prospecting W clients.  That made us very happy since Jo had obviously tested his W as a pro would do.
However, we realized that our W had passed the test with flying colors when Jo emailed us the following sentence:
"...still thrilled with the W and not have been able to improve the basic concept without detracting from it in some other way. The W really is the best"

There doesn't seem to be much to say after that, is there?

The paddle holder consists of a small cleat added to the spray deflector and a bungee cord between the two existing side eyelets.
